My photography has changed as I've changed genres & with my style as a portrait /fashion photographer its developed with the styles I like ..that being street / urban.
How do you approach a shoot? Do you pre-plan or is it a click and run?
I do plan my shoot & spend a lot of time researching & scouting locations. I like to be organised with my equipment & very importantly with the model I work with making sure styling, hair & make up is spot on , exactly what I'm looking to create. I'm very time efficient & dont spend any longer shooting that I need to.

Urban environment in evening or night.
Describe your favourite picture and how you captured it?
My favourite picture was one of my first I took as a portrait model photographer, Urban street environment, model dress in urban outfit, it was mid evening, the rain was coming down.. I used a led rotolight to illumimate the model as key light & used a speed light as a backlight… got her to crouch down in front of a patch of wet ground & water. The backlight illuminated & froze the rain & with the shallow DOF & the leading lines of the narrow street made for an awesome image.
In three words how would you describe your photography?
“Damn bloody good”…. hahaha
How do you feel about better quality cameras being put into smart phones?
We have to move with the times, yes it's great that better tech makes us more creative I guess.
What are your thoughts on expensive cameras? Do you think they create better images?.
Yes better gear helps you create better images… & if anyone tells you different there lying.
