How long have you been taking pictures?
A little bit more than 3 years
When did you get into photography and why?
When I bought my camera, I wanted to do macro photography. But till this day I haven’t make one macro image.
What would you say your style is and has it changed throughout the years? If so why?
My style is perhaps naturally outdoor pictures and especially in the forest. Yes, it changed complete. At the beginning I only made home stories and now I try to make the stories outdoor.
How do you approach a shoot? Do you pre-plan or is it a click and run? It’s a little from both. I pre-plan a shoot together with the model. Send some moods but while the shoot it’s really click and run.
Is there an end goal you’re trying to achieve with your images, be it an aesthetic or story?
Well, my goal is to create images, which triggers emotion. The model should be also happy with pictures because she is a part of the picture.
Do you have an influences you can share? Not really a special influence. I look around at the social media pages for new ideas.
What inspires you?
Looking at pictures from different photographers and models in magazines and of course social media.
Is there such a thing as a bad photograph?
There is no wrong or right. No bad or good. Photography is art and art is in the eye of the beholder.
Are you looking for a career in photography or are you just having fun?
I’m a 100% just-for-the-fun photographer and I never want to change it. It’s pure relaxation, enjoyment and balancing to my job.
Which social media platforms do you use and why? I only use instagram. I have a facebook page, but I’m really inactive there.
Which photographers do you mainly follow on social media?
I follow a few great photographers but at the moment I most inspired from Corwin Prescott.
What are your thoughts on mobile photography versus DSLR / mirrorless?
I use a Sony without mirror. It makes no difference if you use a DSLR or mirrorless. Both make great pictures.
What’s your main go to camera, lenses and how did you make that choice?
Sony A7ii and Zeiss 55 1.8mm and Zeiss 35 1.4. More I don’t need.
What is your dream location to shoot at?
Have you seen the film „The Revenant“? The location in the starting scene but also Ireland, Iceland or Canada.
Describe your favourite picture and how you captured it?
I have no favourite picture because every picture and model is unique.
In three words how would you describe your photography?
naturally, emotional and relaxed
How do you feel about better quality cameras being put into smart phones?
I think that we spend enough time with our smart phones.
What are your thoughts on expensive cameras? Do you think they create better images?.
No, I don’t think that expensive cameras create better images because it’s always a human behind the camera. A great image depends on many factors.
